Senior Settlements Administrator

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Daily bank reconciliations.
  • Checking and authorising payment batches.
  • Liaising with banks, counterparties and clients where necessary.
  • Dealing with client and payment queries as and when they arise.
  • Matching and reconciliation of incoming funds.
  • Ensure smooth and timely daily settlements for our clients and counterparties.
  • Completing investigations to resolve accounting mismatches.
  • Complying with AML regulations and internal policies and procedures.
  • Provide support with booking of FX transactions with counterparties.
  • Maintain strong relationships with banks and counterparties.
  • Reconciliation of forward positions.
  • Reconciliation of margin positions
  • Chasing clients for incoming funds.
  • Recommend changes to improve the overall effectiveness of the Settlements department.

Required Skills

  • Excellent maths skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft office.
  • Experience with international payments
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and organise own workload.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must be able to work to deadlines.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Customer service oriented.

Personal Specification and Culture

  • Experience in the foreign exchange industry preferred.
  • Willing to communicate to the business at large.
  • Collaborates across the business and works closely with the Head of Settlements and Settlements Assistant Manager.
  • Understands, embraces, and adds to the culture.
  • High level of professional communication skills both in verbal and written formats.
  • Personable and has the skills to build rapport and establish personal relationships.
  • Demonstrate excellent people skills and become a valued member of the team.
